Hold and release
Resolve a failure before the project moves forward.
A failed check creates a controlled decision, not an automatic pass or shipment.
HOLD
Failure requires a documented next step.
Depending on the issue, the agreed path may include:
- Corrective action
- Rework
- Replacement
- Reinspection
- Documented customer-approved deviation
Unresolved issues remain on HOLD and cannot receive quality release.
QUALITY RELEASE
The defined inspection scope has met the agreed quality requirements.
SHIPMENT RELEASE
Quality release does not authorize shipment.
